Machine learning is one of my interests specifically solving IOT problems with machine learning. Microcomputer Applications on devices such as raspberry pi and arduino are also interesting to me.
My favorite hobby is painting and zentangling, mostly pattern painting/drawing which allows me to be creative. I love using earth tone colors and allow painting on unconventional surfaces such as empty snail shells. Painting and drawing helps me calm down after a long day of school work or working a personal project. Another hobby of mine is knitting, I love it!
I would make a good researcher because I am very hardworking and I don't mind taking on large workloads because I love to expand my knowledge on different topics. I am open minded which means I can do research on different topics as long as they are interesting to me, which Computer Science greatly is! My favorite type of research work is comparing two or more techniques because it allows me to apply analytical thinking and be critical of each technique. Being an already creative person I like to use different methods to solve problems and it could involve combining techniques or tweaking them to satisfy the problem I'm trying to solve.
Well my overall career goal is to stay in academia and to become Professor! I have always loved learning new things and diving into new technologies ever since I started my academic journey. I also love to share the things I have learned with people around me and this allows us to discuss the topic deeper, which in turn helps cultivate a deeper relationship. Another important reason for my Professor goal is to inspire other women from my country to pursue a career in Computer Science and to show them that there is a space for women in this predominantly male dominated field.
I am currently implementing a computer vision based smart home system, which includes face detection and face recognition. I am also doing Research work for my advisor on different Tensorflow applications that can be implemented on IOT devices.
